SYLVAIN
Sylvain Normand is a Registered Builder and the proprietor of Blue Gum Construction with 25 years experience in the industry.
Born and raised in France he was trained in the strong artisanal tradition, a skilled craftsman who places high standards on himself and his workers.
His experience ranges from fine furniture making, heritage cottage renovations, high end lux extensions to running multi-million dollar commercial projects.
Sylvain has worked for a number of large scale construction companies both in the residential and industrial sectors and has run Bluegum since it’s establishment in 2006.
BLUEGUM
Bluegum Construction’s focus is on renovations and extensions. All projects are uniquely customised to the client’s specific needs, budget and taste.

REGISTERED BUILDER
We are a Registered Builder with the Victorian Building Authority and adhere to the building codes and regulations. We execute our work under a strict code of conduct and all jobs are guaranteed. We stand by our legal obligations with warranties up to 7 years on building works, we also have Public Liability and all required insurances in place.
OH&S is very important to us, we are trained in site safety and have an accreditation in Occupation Health and Safety (Certificate III).

What we do well
Being a small builder you get to liaise with the same person from start to finish. We have flexible hours so if you’re only available on weekends or in the evenings then so are we! Our experienced craftsmanship means that no job is too hard or unusual and if all you have is an idea and some magazine clippings and not sure how to go about it, then we’ll happily sit with you, plan, design and assist you with a budget. Anything is possible with us.
